Dietary Needs Food Pantry

Dietary Food Pantry

Since 2007 a special needs food pantry has operated out of 218 Church Street, Poughkeepsie. Each Thursday 10 am – 12 noon, low-income individuals being treated for high blood pressure and / or diabetes can stop by and select items consistent with their diet. These goods are often harder to get within regular food pantries. CCCSDC offers a variety of fare from which selections can be made.

A current prescription bottle, or letter from a doctor, is all that is needed to receive low-sodium, low -carbohydrate foods. Personal care products, cleaning supplies, clothing, household goods and seasonal items are also available as needed.

Regular Food Pantry

Throughout the Covid 19 pandemic, food insecurity became a universal problem amongst neighbors looking for assistance. It has not abated since. In response to this need, CCCSDC created a larger food pantry at 218 Church Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601, offering food for individuals and families with no dietary restriction.

Utilized primarily for clients currently receiving CCCSDC case management, goods can be obtained at any time, in conjunction with the assigned case manager. Provisions may be picked up or can be delivered to client homes anywhere in Dutchess County. Store cards, visa cash / debit cards, Amazon cards, gas cards and bus passes may be provided to supplement selections from the food pantry. Personal care products, cleaning supplies, clothing, household goods and seasonal items are also available as needed.
